Cohen is in LOVE with superheros now. We put in a request for every superhero book the library had, and this Friday they came in!!! Our sweet library lady was so excited because he was so excited. Him and Michael have been wrestling every night and he switches between playing spider man and venom. Saturday morning he asked if we could have pancakes like Peter Parker. He's pretty funAnd my sweet savvy bug!!! Someone at school told her that they did the dishes. So of course she wanted to as well. Cohen and I were downstairs playing when she asked if she could unload the dishwasher, I told her she could put up the silverware. She either doesn't know what silverware is or just ignored me:) But when I came up stairs that girl had unloaded and was loading it...perfectly! I told her that we were going to have to figure out some kind of allowance or reward for her doing chores. I asked her what she wants for a reward and she said "maybe learn how to make pancakes?" and was serious. I'm going to show her this post when she is a teenager.

Girly Time
We were in for the night, Michael had the boys in the tub and Savvy with a glitter in her eye said "lets.play.salon" I pulled out my make-up bag and loaded this girl with all the makeup I had. Can't you tell....It still makes me laugh looking at the pic because you can hardly see any on her. But to her she was transformed into a princess and had giggles for the rest of the night.
She ran in to show dad and he did NOT approve. I love that Michael is the stereotypical protective dad. Make-up, bikinis, saying a boy was cute(Scotty Mccreery, I'm serious).....Michael can't stand it. Bless the boy that wants to marry her.
Then things got a little crazy, she is so much fun

Yummy Paint
For this weeks craft we painted with sticky paint. So easy and a lot of fun. You get sweetened condensed milk, put food coloring in it and paint away. I was worried that it would be sticky when it dried but it is smooth and very shiny.
I painted the one on the left, then got up and was folding laundry when Savvy showed me her copy of mine. So she can run and paint better than me;)
And I'm ending this blog with cankles. Man oh man they make my heart happy

Back Home
On our way out Monday morning we stopped and saw Snoqualmie Falls. It was rainy and cold and luckily the view of the falls was just a few feet from the parking lot. But we got side tracked with some interesting plants.... and Cohen started talking about "ca-nations" again. I still have no idea what he is looking for
On our way home I heard Savannah counting, and found them playing hide and seek. Man these kids can find incredible hiding places...can you see them

Sunday
Everyone slept well Saturday and woke up ready to go. We wanted to visit this church, the pastor has made news because of his sermons. With the kids getting over colds we decided that they would attend service with us. When we walked in I got a bulletin and it said "Sex : God, Gross or Gift" we decided this was a sermon the kids didn't need to hear yet;) We put them in the kids class and Michael and I went to service. It was fantastic, the sermon series they are going over is based on a book called Real Marriage. I've ordered it and can't wait to read it.
After that we went to lunch on the pier at Ivars and it was delicious!!! I got a salmon blt..enough said. We tried pacific oysters and I'm a true southerner at heart, the gulf's are better.
Our waiter loaded up all of our leftovers and told us to go feed the birds. I didn't get good pictures because lets face it-birds freak me out. My dad had me watch The Birds when I was a teenager and there must be some subconscious fear deep rooted in me;) These pics do no justice as to how many birds came up.
looks like I've rubbed off on Savvy
We then headed over to the space needle. It was $62 and the wait was an hour long. As soon as we bought our tickets Caleb was over it, like really over it. He cried the hour we waited, then by the time we went up all of us were over it. We stayed up there for maybe a minute and a half and left.
I told you he was over it
The boys fell asleep in the car and Michael and Savvy found Puget Sound
We then drove all around and the outskirts of the city. We saw mountains that took my breath away. I took pictures but it was cloudy and they didn't turn out. We went back to the rotel and were asleep by 9.

Saturday
We had a rough week last week. Sickness has hit our household with a vengeance- respiratory, stomach we've had it. By Friday we were feeling better and had a case of cabin fever so we decided we would go to Seattle for the weekend. It is about 4 1/2 hrs from Walla Walla and a beautiful drive. We went through the Snoqualmie Pass to get there and I know for a fact that this was the most scared I have ever been in a car. Michael did great, but you could hardly see, the roads were covered with snow/ice slush. By the time we made it through my hands hurt because I was squeezing the door so tight. These are the pics I got before it got bad and I was gripped with fear ;)
It is amazing how things will turn so quickly from snow to rain and vise versa up here. Seattle is beautiful, it is called the emerald city and even in February everything was green and lush. After we got there we found a park and let the kids (and Michael) run around
He is such a great dad. He can come up with the craziest games, this one he had the kids stand still and he swung on this zip line thing and picked them up. There faces crack me up
The kids are crazy about staying in "rotels". It's like Christmas morning when we walk in, they run around, check out the microwave, mini fridge and bathrooms and want to tell me about everything they find, even though I'm right behind them looking at it. They are so fun to travel with and have this ability to make things as silly as a hotel room magical.

Smart Choices
I'm trying to make some small changes with our eating habits, and was so proud with our lunch I took a pic;) These are Boca original Chik'n patties. They are made out of soy but taste like a chicken nugget and the kids liked them.

Be mine
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy! Hubby knows the way to my heart. He was going to have to work long today so he made me dinner on Monday night. The candles lit, soft music in the background, whispering sweet nothings...that was just imagined. I fed the kids while Michael cooked, so while we were eating they were running around the table, yelling, asking for bites. And I wouldn't change a thing. I adore my family. ADORE. This is our 11th valentines and I want to be with him for a million more. We set up the table for the morning. Sweet Savvy had secretly made a homemade valentine for each of us, I forgot to take a picture of them. But my heart was mush ;)
Then we took a blow dryer to melt the crayons. You are supposed to use an embossing gun, but we improvised which = enormous mess.
Melted crayon splattered everywhere. I have cleaned and cleaned and there is still stuff EVERYWHERE. If, IF we ever do this again it will be done outside.
And here is the masterpiece. I have already been contacted by some galleries in New York
Caleb found my make-up drawer this morning, I see lipstick on the walls in our future.
I painted my nails in honor of the holidays, perfect for ticklingWe also did our craft today. I got all of our broken crayons and let the kids glue them to a foam board (I wanted a canvas but couldn't find one in town). This is what Cohen glued and I didn't get a pic after Savvy glued hers. Then we took a blow dryer to melt the crayons.
