More than Rainbows

Savvy and Cohen will turn almost everything into a competition, from washing hands to getting in the car.  After tucking them in the other night the competition moved to a whole new level.  This was our conversation

Me:  Good night guys, I love you
Savvy:  I love you more
Me:  I love you guys most
Savvy:  I love you more than rainbows
Cohen:  I love you more than my presents
Savvy:  Mommy you are my present
Me:  oooooo, guys I love you

Yes I completely fell for it and am still smiling about it.  I walked out and asked Michael if he heard that and he rolled his eyes - I'm sure because he was insanely jealous :)  I'm not ashamed to turn loving me into a competition... I'm kidding, not really, yes I am.

Moving on, Caleb's new name for  Cohen is "Conan" now.  I was able to get it on video, but they are only in their underwear (which is nothing out of the norm) and Caleb has brownie on his face (again, not our of the norm).

Weekend

Since we got back home I have had to get someone to jump off my van probably 8 times now.  It has just recently started bothering me because I love knowing how to hook up batteries, getting the van started.. its all I'm a woman hear me roar.  I'm sure it's a pride issue I need to work on.
But fortunately my man scheduled an appointment at Honda for Friday.
Friday morning we slept in(I didn't sleep in once last semester and actually slept in the whole week this week), but got the kids dressed and we were going to have to eat breakfast in the car.  I went out to start the car and it was dead, but whatever I know the routine.  Long story short the lady I found to help with my car was crazy mean and it ended with me in the kitchen crying big fat tears.  Makes me laugh now but man that lady was mean.

By the time I got to Honda I looked over at Caleb and God love him, but that hair turned my day
around :)

Saturday we went with some friends to Sprout Springs for sledding, which is about 40 miles away and covered with snow and sunshine

Caleb's favorite part was hands down eating the snow
told ya

Sunday Michael and the kids built homemade marshmallow guns and became the source of hours of fun.  I have found marshmallows all over the house and in my hair and shirt.  The new rule is you can either blow the marshmallows in the sink or outside
Savvy and reading has really clicked and she is doing so good!  I found her on the couch today with one of my books (which she totally can't read yet).  I asked her to come for something and she said "just a minute let me finish this chapter".  Then when she came in she said "this book is so good"  I love her
I've been meaning to post a picture of the kids room.  Savvy complained all last year that she is the only one who has to sleep by herself.  Almost every night I heard "you and dad sleep together and Cohen and Caleb sleep together, why do I have to sleep by myself"  Last October we decided that we  would have a nursery like they do in Peter Pan and all the kids will sleep together.  I have LOVED it... Savvy not so much.  Turns out the grass is not always greener.  She is the first to go to sleep and the last to wake up.  Caleb is always the last to go to sleep and either the first or second to get up and Caleb loves Savvy.  She battles with him getting in her bed a lot.  We will be rearranging rooms again soon and have to boys together and the girls together.  I'm sure Savvy will not like sharing a room with Norah when she is a teenager but is so excited about it now.
The weekend ended with triumph.  Guess who used the potty today!!!

We finally got a little bit of snow!  This winter has been... dark, rainy and cold.  The snow had us doing the happy dance

I found an idea for ice marbles on pintrest and they turned out pretty but were messy to make.  I originally had Cohen in charge of the food coloring... hence the messy

He is pretending to be a frog here and squeezing his balloon while saying "ribbit ribbit"

On Saturday we went to the tri-cities
Norah is growing!  I'm 22 weeks now, she weighs a pound and moves around like crazy.
Savvy felt her move on Sunday
I wish I could save all the questions I ask google.  Yesterday was how to get Flarp out of clothes.  Hot water, borax and vinegar did the trick
Today by 11 Caleb and I were worn out.  We laid on the floor and stared at each other... true story

Getting back in the swing

We are back to everyday life.  Doing things like Alien autopsy's... and it's edible.  The box said it was delicious and it was in no feasible way delicious

Savvy went with me for Norah's check up.  She makes everything fun

We got fun new bath toys for Christmas.  One was body paints and Savvy went crazy with it...
her skin didn't think it was so much fun.  After a big dose of Benadryl she had her milky skin back

Caleb and I were coloring and I made this picture.  He looked over and said "Daddy".  Still making me laugh... and Michael I didn't have you in mind when I was drawing
We started piano lessons Tuesday, she loved it and can't wait to go back.  Hoping the excitement stays around.

Whirlwind

The end of December was nothing short of craziness, wonderful but crazy.  Sickness, travel, ultrasound, anniversary and the list goes on.  I'm going to start where it ended, in Walla Walla.

Savvy wants the baby to be a girl so bad that it has become an everyday topic at our house.  I always wanted a sister so I can relate, but her little heart desires with all she has for a little sister.  She made this bracelet for the baby and said that "pink is for sister and purple is for love".... oh she melts my heart

They love their daddy

Santa visited before we left and brought Savvy a desk, Cohen a bike and Caleb a parking garage (lol).   Santa must have gotten the boys confused because Cohen loved Calebs and Caleb loved the bike.  Everyone was happy

The next day we took down the tree and the kids got baggies to collect the fallen needles.  They then decided it was more fun to wear the bags.... I love their strangeness
We woke up at 3:00 am to catch our flight to Memphis.  The kids are such amazing travelers and did great there and back.  This guy slept Denver to Memphis

My mom was picking us up from the airport but when we were going down the escalator to baggage claim I saw the legs of a man holding a sign that said "Clay party of 5 1/2".  I thought it was my dad and Savvy started walking down the escalator to get him when we saw that it was Chuck... my moms friends husband.  We then got flash mobbed to the song "walking in Memphis".  It was all our friends from medtronic and chickflia, cupcakes, barbecue and movies were involved.  Then my parents and Michael's mom came out.  It was amazing and had me crying the whole time.  It's on video and I will post it once I figure it out.

We then headed over to my dads and had all of our friends and family over to find out if the baby was a boy or girl.  Mom had mustaches if you thought it was a boy and bows if you thought it was a girl.  She had a game we were going to play to find out but she said we couldn't do it because almost EVERYONE thought it was a girl.

There are no words in the universe to describe how much I love my M.A.

Mom gave me a pandora bracelet last year with charms for the kids and got a new one to add on... and it's a ....
We are so over the moon excited to have another little girl in our family.  I'm still so giddy about it

Saturday we went to my grandmothers and we took some awkward family pictures.  Savannah was so into it.  Reason one million and one why I love her

We played and played with cousins

We packed very light and poor Caleb payed the price.  This night  both of his PJ's were in the wash and  the only thing we had was sisters shirt.  He rocked it!

                                                       We danced on tables
                                                   We loved on uncle Blake

This is Savvy's best friend.  They did preschool and Kindergarden together and we love her.  They are so sweet to each other, and a year didn't change anything between them

                                                    Revenge

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary on the 28th.  It was an amazing day, lunch, movie, dinner, hotel.  I would marry him again and again.
