Happy

I had a pretty amazing week and can't wait to blog about it, but for tonight I'm posting some pictures that make me super SUPER happy.
Savvy comes and sings with us at church then she goes to her class.  She usually doodles and on this Sunday after she had gone to class I found this...
I showed Michael and was so excited to look it up.  As I was anxiously turning to it, I unknowingly turned to Job 39:1 which is : "Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn?"
It made me snort (very loud) during church

He helped me take out the garbage... the bag might have broke from him dragging, but he did it all by himself:)

I might have let the boys lick the bowl after making cupcakes.  Caleb looked at me and said "good...good"  I said it is good and then he said "happy".  He is a boy after my heart

Pumpkin Time

There is a pumpkin patch in town and both kids were able to take a field trip to see all the pumpkins.  This is a mountain of hay bales both boys loved the slide, which really surprised me because it tall and scared me a bit :)
Fun fact about Walla Walla:  The pumpkins are crazy cheap, we got 2 big and 2 small pumpkins for $9

All I want...

Right after Savvy lost her top tooth the other one started getting super loose.  She had school pictures on Tuesday so Monday night I tried and tried to pull it out and it would not come out.  It was literally hanging by a thread and that "thread" was made of steal.  So alas her school picture will have a tooth hanging out... I can't wait to see it, I think it will be my favorite school pic yet

Thursday night Michael was able to get it out with floss.  (And lost the tooth.... still missing)

Party Time

I'm having a hard time comprehending the fact that Cohen is turning 5, my brain just won't accept it :)  We had his party on Friday so we let him open his gifts from us, Grandparents and Aunt Apie before the party.
He seriously cracks me up, his posing had no prompting from anyone, just him

He wanted a Ninja party and dressed the part

                                                 He was feeling it

                                                    Caleb and Noa
It hasn't rained in Walla Walla in something like 80 days.  When we woke up Friday morning it was raining and rained on and off all day.  On our way to the party it started pouring.  Cohen said he was OK with a party in the rain, but I started praying for it to stop raining.  Wasn't the end of the world but it kinda stunk.  His party started at 5:30 and by 5:35 the rain stopped and yep there was a rainbow.  God is just amazing.  It would have been completely OK if it had kept raining, there was a pavilion and we would have made it work.  But the fact that He not only made the rest of the night wonderful but gave us a rainbow... I totally recognize the blessing and am so thankful!

Happy Birthday my Precious Cohen.  I love your humor, heart, snuggles, eyes, feet and everything in-between.

Saturday

Saturday morning we drove to Indian beach.  This was the road leading to it and it amazes me that there are lush green trees and ferns right next to the ocean.  This is not like the Gulf :)

We were there during high tide and the water was rough and freezing.  The kids had no fear of the ocean at Gulf Shores, so we had to have a serious talk about respecting the Pacific :)

We had such a fun time on the beach, when we were walking back to the car it started pouring, so we ate our lunch in the van.  We then headed to Astoria (Goonies was filmed here).  We loved this town, adorable houses, fantastic downtown and a bakery with German Chocolate cake!
The port was walking distance from our hotel and was home to the sea lions who barked all night.  I was scared to death walking the port.  I was holding Caleb and was terrified we were going to fall in with the sea lions.
My knuckles are white holding on to Savvy's arm... this was not enjoyable to me :)

We then drove to the Astoria Column, and Savvy, Cohen and I made it all the way to the top... can you see us?
Michael started but then had to come back down, he blamed it on Caleb :)

It was such a fantastic weekend and I think Michael loved his birthday celebration!

Friday

My ol' Man had a birthday Friday!!!  Plain and simple, Michael is awesome, I love him like crazy and couldn't imagine doing life with anyone else.
He wanted to see the Pacific Ocean, so we made a weekend of it.  After breakfast Friday morning we headed to the Bonneville Dam for lunch and to see the fish

I LOVE this picture of her.  When she grows up she wants to be an elf, and I think she looks the part

We spent two hours there and it was free..whoop whoop!!  Then we headed to Multnomah Falls and it was beautiful.

We then headed to Portland and Michael got to walk around his favorite store, REI and I chased these little critters around.
We went out to eat that night and probably for the first time Caleb was good at a restaurant.  It was so nice and a great ending to a great day.  We were exhausted and all in bed by 7.  I asked the kids what there favorite part of the day was and they both said the "rotel" aka hotel.  Not the giant fish or largest waterfall they have ever seen, but that they get to stay at a rotel :)  its the little things
