Weekend

Since we got back home I have had to get someone to jump off my van probably 8 times now.  It has just recently started bothering me because I love knowing how to hook up batteries, getting the van started.. its all I'm a woman hear me roar.  I'm sure it's a pride issue I need to work on.
But fortunately my man scheduled an appointment at Honda for Friday.
Friday morning we slept in(I didn't sleep in once last semester and actually slept in the whole week this week), but got the kids dressed and we were going to have to eat breakfast in the car.  I went out to start the car and it was dead, but whatever I know the routine.  Long story short the lady I found to help with my car was crazy mean and it ended with me in the kitchen crying big fat tears.  Makes me laugh now but man that lady was mean.

By the time I got to Honda I looked over at Caleb and God love him, but that hair turned my day
around :)

Saturday we went with some friends to Sprout Springs for sledding, which is about 40 miles away and covered with snow and sunshine

Caleb's favorite part was hands down eating the snow
told ya

Sunday Michael and the kids built homemade marshmallow guns and became the source of hours of fun.  I have found marshmallows all over the house and in my hair and shirt.  The new rule is you can either blow the marshmallows in the sink or outside
Savvy and reading has really clicked and she is doing so good!  I found her on the couch today with one of my books (which she totally can't read yet).  I asked her to come for something and she said "just a minute let me finish this chapter".  Then when she came in she said "this book is so good"  I love her
I've been meaning to post a picture of the kids room.  Savvy complained all last year that she is the only one who has to sleep by herself.  Almost every night I heard "you and dad sleep together and Cohen and Caleb sleep together, why do I have to sleep by myself"  Last October we decided that we  would have a nursery like they do in Peter Pan and all the kids will sleep together.  I have LOVED it... Savvy not so much.  Turns out the grass is not always greener.  She is the first to go to sleep and the last to wake up.  Caleb is always the last to go to sleep and either the first or second to get up and Caleb loves Savvy.  She battles with him getting in her bed a lot.  We will be rearranging rooms again soon and have to boys together and the girls together.  I'm sure Savvy will not like sharing a room with Norah when she is a teenager but is so excited about it now.
The weekend ended with triumph.  Guess who used the potty today!!!

  1. What a week-end... I am so proud of Saro, looks like Cohen loves anything that involves building and getting messy and poor monkey's hair...I am having flashbacks of his Uncle Blake's hair!
